FAQ: What Electrical Work Will Get Done During My Bathroom Remodel?

Q: What electrical work will get done during my bathroom remodel?

A: Electrical work will vary from job to job depending on things such as how old the house is, if the bathroom was ever previously remodeled, and what features you are looking to add. In general, the electrical package that is included with all of our bathrooms includes:

  • Bringing all wiring up to today’s code standards.
  • Replacing or running new wire and installing a new vent/light combo and actually having it vent outside the house. (Yes, unfortunately many people will just let it vent right up into your ceiling or attic)
  • Replacing existing vanity lighting.
  • Running wire for and installing new 4″ LED wafer lights.
  • All new switches and receptacles.

Again, these are just the basics that we cover in all of our bathroom remodels. We typically suggest that you think about adding some bonus electrical features, such as: shower niche LED lighting, exhaust fan with built-in Bluetooth speaker, LED backlit mirrors, and towel warmers!
