Secondary Bathroom Refresh on Smedley Ave – Media, PA
Transforming Media Secondary Bathrooms With Expert Designs

Customer Goal
The homeowner—Matt, wanted to make his main floor bathroom safe, functional, and usable again. While he used his upstairs walk-in shower daily, the first-floor bathroom had become almost useless. The tub was outdated, the faucet leaked, and none of the shutoff valves worked.
Matt made it clear:
“I don’t need the Taj Mahal—I just want it to work.”
He also wanted a deeper tub for hot and cold soaking as part of his recovery routine.
Scope of Work
This refresh was built for function, comfort, and reliability:
Full demo of existing tub/shower area
Installation of a deeper soaking tub
Acrylic surround system for easy maintenance and a clean finish
New shower faucet kit
All-new plumbing: supply lines, drains (replacing lead), and shutoff valves
Insulated exterior walls behind the tub for added comfort and efficiency
New vanity and faucet
New toilet
Repainted walls (added as a change order)
Installed towel bars, toilet paper holder, and towel ring

Plumbing Overhaul
The existing plumbing system was heavily outdated and even included lead drains. Matt didn’t trust the tub enough to use it. We replaced every major plumbing component, from shutoffs to drains, bringing everything up to modern code. The result: a safe, reliable bath space that functions beautifully.
